The company has recognised the necessity that we all need to act in order to help save the environment. This we are able to achieve by careful management, without compromising our customer service and profits.

To achieve this we have a modern fleet of vehicles which are commissioned on 3 and 5 year contracts. This option allows us to be consistently at the forefront of vehicle technology.
 
To compliment our existing fleet of vehicles which are already emission rated Euro 3 and Euro 4 (and many coupled to Auto gearboxes, which allows the vehicle to operate at maximum efficiency), new vehicles arriving in 2009 and 2010 are equipped with Euro 5 technology. This replacement programme together with a comprehensive main dealer operated maintenance system enables the vehicles to be some of the cleanest and safest on the road today, giving out fewer pollutants than many cars and vans.
 
Helping the environment does not stop at motorised vehicles, driver awareness and routing of vehicles to get the maximum amount of deliveries on behalf of our customers, with the minimum amount of miles travelled is always a priority. Retraining  and up grading of drivers have allowed us to reduce the number of 7.5 ton vehicles on our fleet by 7 and replacing them with 4 x 12ton and 1x 18 ton vehicle. Also 6 out of 12 of our trunk vehicles are double deck trailers, once again reducing the number of vehicles on the road.
 
Finally Europa Worldwide Logistics has over the last three years embarked on a trailer replacement programme, the new trailers coupled with modern tyre technology give us a better coefficient of drag and less rolling resistance, this in turn gives us the ability to achieve a greater tyre life and better fuel returns, which means we are using less of the earths resources.Europa Worldwide Logistics continues to look at different ways to be commercially and ecologically sound and is looking at Bio fuels and other methods for the future.

Warehouse Management System (WMS )
 
Our warehouse management system controls all sites and provides ( Electronic Data Interchange ) EDI interfaces from and to customers providing fast interchange of data and high volume intake of stock and despatch of customer daily orders in a real time environment.
 
Europa technology allows customers to view their stock within our facilities via web interfaces with secure user names and passwords; they can also track the status of orders for despatch. Goods are booked in, stored and despatched using the latest bar code scanning technology via hand held units within a radio frequency warehousing environment.
 
Signature Capture
 
Handheld signature capture units are used for our deliveries, this data being passed back to our central systems allowing customers to view on-line the signed proof of delivery; these systems being accessible from anywhere in the world.
 
Scanning Technology
 
Physical proofs of deliveries are also scanned using high speed clear imaging units which allow customers to view and print these as andwhen required via our Web interface links.
 
Track & Trace Technology
 
Through Web browser technology, Europa provides track and trace for freight movements across the world. Using our Web Portal all of our warehousing and distribution systems come together to allow the customer to view Warehousing intakes, storage and despatch whether by Road , Air or Sea.
 
Communication

Europa vehicles are tracked using the latest GPS technology; in-cab communication systems with drivers provide the level of flexibility that our customers have come to expect over the years.
 
HM Revenue & Customs Systems
 
Europa has all direct computer links with the HMRC systems for Import and Export of goods to and from the UK ;  EDI messaging from all of our systems through to Customs provides our customers with Express Freight movements second to none providing all Customs documentation in electronic format for speed of processing.
 
Disaster Recovery Systems
 
Europa has full disaster recovery systems in place providing for off site mirroring of all transactional data for all Warehousing, European, UK and Worldwide shipments.
