James packs his bags for families in need in Africa

An employee at Europa Worldwide Group’s Northampton warehouse is planning his next trip to Africa where he will donate clothes and other essential items to families in need – collected from his colleagues, friends and family in Northampton.

James Brown, who has worked as a warehouse operative for logistics operator Europa at its site in Grange Park for more than 11 years, regularly travels to the villages of Mwkamba and Tiwi in Mombasa, Kenya with his wife and parents-in-law.

€40 French Farce - Europa MD reacts to plans for ‘inconsistent’ driver fee in France

MD Europa Worldwide Group, Andrew Baxter, reacts to the news that the French government is planning to charge a €40 driver fee for temporary workers and those employed by a foreign company, which is expected to come into force on 1 January 2018.

“The decision of the French government to charge a €40 fee for every worker employed by a foreign company and operating in France on a temporary basis is, in my view, totally inconsistent with free trade, the single market and membership of the EU.

specialist team presses ‘fast forward’ on growth

Europa Worldwide Group’s forwarding team has celebrated its most successful month to date, having recorded more than £1m worth of business in a four-week period for the first time ever.

The team of five is based at the business’s £20m facility in Prologis Park in Minworth, Birmingham, and is part of Europa Road, a division of innovative and independent logistics operator Europa Worldwide Group which is this year celebrating its 50th anniversary. The team supports Europa Road’s other services and handles full load and part load express van deliveries with a focus on providing bespoke services to customers.
