We’re thrilled to have raised nearly two-thirds of our £16,000 target to fund a brand-new play area for children at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford.
Europa has already donated £10,000 to the cause and we’ve launched a Justgiving page to raise the rest of the money with staff signed up to various events and challenges.
Our 1hub headquarters, in Albion Road, Dartford, is located just ten minutes from the hospital and many of Europa’s employees and their families have been treated there.
The business pledged to fund the playground in January this year after an employee noticed the current area was in disrepair when visiting a friend’s child.

We hope to raise all of the money needed for the new playground in time for the warmer weather and this is a fantastic start. The Darent Valley Hospital is very close to our hearts and it’s wonderful to see so many people getting involved.”
Europa’s Leeds Branch Manager Nathan Lynn and Regional Manager, Adrian Redmile, raised an impressive total of £650 by running the Sheffield half-marathon this month. 
In Birmingham, Europa’s Telesales Manager, Sonal Patel is planning a charity raffle, with staff from across the Minworth-based site paying to take part. Other events in the pipeline include a sports day, balloon race and dog racing evening. Collection buckets at Europa’s sites are also filling up with cash donations.
Once the full £16,000 is raised, a ship-themed play area will be installed for patients being treated on the Children’s ‘Willow Ward’ at the Hospital, giving sick children the chance to get some fresh air and giving them the best possible experience whilst in hospital.
