Position Summary:

Support the Un-accompanied Trailer Operational Department to ensure we maintain a balance of equipment in and out of each country.  The role will involve buying loads ensuring our own fleet is optimal and balance the flow of equipment back to European ports.

Our Ideal Person:

  • Vast experience with selling full loads.
  • Experience in Freight Forwarding.
  • Ability to grow and maintain relationships.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Exceptional communicator.

In this role, you will:

  • Working alongside the Operational Management to source loads ensuring our own fleet is optimised.
  • Responsible for controlling the balance of equipment on each route and re-load ratio
  • Source and identify full-load opportunities
  • Pro-actively selling full-loads directly to Freight Forwarders
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships within the transport industry
  • Use your commercial awareness to set pricing levels for new and existing customers using spot quotes
  • Provide a personal and efficient service to your portfolio of accounts acting as lead contact to ensure customers are kept up to date with account activity with queries resolved efficiently and pro-actively meeting all their needs.
  • Meet and exceed gross profit and consignment number targets
  • Record all new potential business activity in our contact management system and maintain the data regularly.
  • Arrange transportation by creating a booking in our TMS
  • Ensure all customs requirements are understood
  • Add all customs data to the shipment in our TMS
  • Manage day to day issues in an efficient & professional manner
  • Manage administrative duties efficiently
  • To build and maintain healthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take financial responsibility for your profit centre driving profitability into your area of the business Report Monthly GP results and consignment numbers providing a summary to the Branch Manager and Director
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by their line manager, commensurate with the role. The role holder will be expected to show flexibility in working arrangements, including working hours, which could include out of hours/weekend support if required to ensure that Europa delivers the required level of service.
