Logistics Administrator

The opportunity

We are looking for a person to cover the position Logistics Administrator who will be responsible for customer service and the whole back office duties. The administrator will look after 6 different contracts with various patterns of the demand, therefore, the flexibility, time management and ability to prioritise the job is essential.

12 months full time contract

The Job

  • Dealing with in and out bound calls
  • Dealing with all the office administration and logistics functions
  • Data entry and updating the systems and keeping all documentation up to date and organised
  • Dealing with despatch and receipt operations
  • Dealing with stock operations
  • Working as part of a busy team and working to set deadlines based on distribution deadlines
  • Dealing with clients and follow up on requests and orders
  • Coordinating transportation details and advising on any delays or problems that may arise
  • Reporting and providing the correct documentation for shipment to customers
  • Dealing with the complaints and customer queries
  • Liaising between the hauliers, suppliers and customers
  • Following the SOPs
  • Administrating the inbound and outbound activities of the duty suspended stock applying the HMRC regulations
  • Internal and External Customer Service liaison

Skills needed

The below will be seen as beneficial:

  • NVQ in Customer Service

Previous experience with the duty suspended stock operations would be an advantage
Previous experience in administration role in the logistics environment is required.

Duties / responsibilities in order of priority:-

  • Processing the orders
  • Preparing unloading reports
  • Booking the stock
  • Dealing with queries – Customer Service
  • Keeping records of deviations
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers and hauliers

  • Excellent PC literacy – MS Excel and MS Word
