Position Summary:

A recruiter oversees all aspects of the recruitment process in relation to mid to senior level roles, this will involve working with hiring managers, and others to coordinate the sourcing and onboarding of new employees across the organisation.

This is where you come in:

As one of the recruiters within the internal recruitment team, you will lead by example in supporting, leading and delivering recruitment projects in a timely and effective manner, adding value to the recruitment department, as and when requested.

Our Ideal Person:

  • Previous recruitment experience (in-house or agency) is vital.
  • Experience in recruiting within the logistics/transport industry will be preferred.
  • Solid understanding of the full recruitment cycle.
  • Proven experience in building strong relationships with clients/hiring managers.
  • Delivering on vacancies with quality and speed.
  • Confident and personable personality will be a perfect fit within the team – we require a ‘people’s person’.
  • Has a passion for providing an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Is driven, pro-active and uses own initiative to speak with hiring managers, source candidates and deliver on vacancies.
  • Time management skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers on all mid to senior level, within the organisation, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the role recruiting for, personality specification and any other requirements necessary.
  • Create internal and external adverts working in partnership with the hiring manager
  • Manage job postings through job boards and social media platforms with a heavy emphasis on sites that allow proactive searching for suitable candidates, whilst constantly working towards your allocated cost centre and team target.
  • Review submitted applications and CV’s enabling you to sift quality candidates following up with a telephone interview.
  • Assess the role to understand the most appropriate method of interview, whether this be via telephone, video calling or face to face methods depending on the role being recruited for.
  • Create a shortlist of suitable candidates for the hiring manager to review alongside scheduling a follow up call to discuss short list in detail, converting as many as possible to interview stage.
  • Coordinate the interview between hiring manage and candidate as required. Engaging with hiring manager and candidate on regular basis to gain feedback.
  • Ensure that time to hire timescales are met as directed by the Head of Recruitment, demonstrating the progress and challenges encountered that may have delayed this being met.
  • Feedback to all unsuitable candidate, providing constructive feedback as directed by hiring manager.
  • Provide verbal confirmation of employment offer to the candidate and create new joiner form, working with the Recruitment Onboarding Coordinator to ensure everything arranged for the candidate to start their onboarding journey whilst communicating this with the hiring manager and candidate where necessary.
  • Support, lead and deliver recruitment projects in a timely and effective manner, adding value to the recruitment department, as and when requested.
