Two Human Resources Business Partners (HRPBs) have been appointed to support the 300 staff working out of Europa Warehouse’s newest and largest facility at Midlands Logistics Park in Corby.
New Recruits
New recruits Juliette Battisson and Deborah Marks – both from the wider Northamptonshire area – bring a wealth of HR experience to the role, having worked across a range of sectors.
They both previously held roles in food manufacturing, but Juliette also has experience of the National Health Service (NHS), and Debra a transport operator and automotive parts firm.
Both were hired as part of Europa Worldwide Group’s HR transformation programme, which aims to support its staff across the business.
Leading the Sector
According to a recent UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) report, 3pls have taken over from high street retailers as the dominant warehouse occupier group. Europa’s £60m 750,000 square foot 3pl facility in Corby is the firm’s largest and most high-tech warehouse in the UK.
As one of the most advanced logistics firms, Europa is leading the sector at a time of immense change, as transport remains in the international spotlight following Brexit and Covid.
Very few firms in the industry are as forward-thinking as Europa, which is embracing the very latest business and HR approaches, shaping the culture of its own organisation and the future of the marketplace in the process.
The new HRBPs will enable staff at the Corby site to fulfil their potential and have access to practical HR support on a day-to-day basis.

Deborah said: “Europa Warehouse continues to deliver for its customers by using the very latest technology to streamline operations. Our objective is to complement this by supporting staff to enable managers and their teams to work as effectively as possible.”
Juliette and Deborah, along with six other HRBPs have joined the company and report to Head of Human Resources, Elaine Robertson. She spearheaded the design and delivery of the HR transformation programme.
She explained: “Juliette and Deborah are fantastic additions to the Corby team. They will offer invaluable knowledge and have already been given a very warm welcome by staff on site who are looking forward to working more closely with them in the coming months.”
